By car
From Amsterdam , heading for Utrecht (A2)
1. Follow the A2 to Utrecht and take exit Breukelen/Kockengen (exit 5)
2. At the roundabout go straight ahead to Kockengen.
3. Again, at the next roundabout go straight ahead to Kockengen
4. At the next roundabout turn left towards Haarzuilens.
From this point follow the signposts De Haar
From Den Haag / Rotterdam, heading for Utrecht (A12)
1. Follow the A12 to Utrecht and take exit De Meern (exit 15).
2. Turn left at the traffic lights and underpass the fly-over
3. Turn left at the first traffic lights. Follow this road (Veldhuizerweg)
and at the first roundabout take the first exit to Haarzuilens.
4. Follow the fly-over until you reach the fork in the road and turn
left (Landschapsbaan) and follow this road to the roundabout.
5. At the roundabout take a right turn (Rivierkom)
6. At the next roundabout take the second turn (straight ahead) and
follow the Verlengde Parkweg.
Attention! From 27 February until 18 May 2012 this part of the road and the roundabout will be (partially) closed off for all traffic because of road works. Keep to the left for the traffic diversion. Follow the detour Vleuterweideweg, Dorpeldijk, Appellaan and Breukdijk. The roundabout will be completely closed off in the period 19-27 May. Follow the detour Stroombruglaan, Huis te Vleutenbaan and Haarrijnse Rading.
From this point follow the signposts to Kasteel de Haar
From Den Bosch, heading for Utrecht (A2)
1. Follow the A2 to Utrecht. When you reach Utrecht follow the A12
to Den Haag
2. Follow the A12 to Den Haag / Rotterdam and take exit De Meern (exit 15)
3. At the traffic lights turn left towards Vleuten.
From this point follow the signposts to De Haar
From Utrecht, heading for Den Haag (A12)
1. Follow the A12 towards Den Haag / Rotterdam and take the exit De Meern (exit 15)
2. At the traffic lights turn left towards Vleuten. Cross the fly-over and continue until you reach the T-crossing. Turn left and follow the Landschapsbaan.
3. At the roundabout turn right to the Rivierkom.
4. At the next roundabout take the second turn and follow the Verlengde Parkweg. Stay on the left side.

Attention!
The roads surrounding Haarzuilens and Vleuten have been changed completely during the last two years. If you do not have the most recent update for your TOM TOM route planner, only follow our route planner or follow the signposts when you arrive in the Vleuten/Haarzuilens area near the castle.
During the public events we strongly advise you to take these exits and follow the special signposts for the event:
A2: exit 5 Breukelen
A12: exit 15 Vleuten – De Meern
Parking lot
De Haar Castle / Kasteel de Haar has its own spacious parking lot. The parking fee is € 4,- per car (during the public events we have different prices). It is prohibited to park your car in the area surrounding the castle and villages on public roads.
Public transport
From Utrecht Central Station take the train to Vleuten (train destination: Den Haag Centraal, not the intercity but the sprinter). At Vleuten station, go down the stairs and turn left to reach the bus station. Take bus 127 direction Kockengen until the 'Brink' stop in Haarzuilens. From Monday untill Saturday the bus departs every hour and on Sunday every two hours (from 12.20 pm on). From the bus stop, it is a 15 minutes’ walk to the castle.
Alternatively you can take a train to Vleuten station and from here get to the castle by taxi. Make sure you reserve a taxi before your departure, Taxi van Rhijn 030-6771271. For more information on public transport check www.ov9292.nl.
A nice experience in the summer is to rent a bike and plan a day trip!
