Visit the castle gardens
A visit to Kasteel de Haar starts in the vast castle gardens. These historic gardens, designed by renowned Dutch garden architect Hendrik Copijn, provide an impressive backdrop for your group visit. Walk together through th e romantic style gardens, along water features and along winding paths with beautiful vistas to the castle. Follow one of the free walking routes or discover the many special places at your own pace.
Your group is welcome to visit the gardens:

- During regular opening hours
Visit the castle with a guide or catering package
Step inside the impressive Interior of Castle de Haar. Follow the route through the castle and discover richly decorated rooms, special art objects and stories about the Van Zuylen van Nijevelt family. Our guides in the various rooms will be happy to tell you more. Before or after your visit you can also enjoy a walk through the vast castle gardens (inbegrepen).
Your group is most welcome in the castle:
- Seven days a week
- During regular opening hours (last walk-in castle at 16:15)
- Maximum 60 persons per group
- Group visit in the castle only possible in combination with a private tour and/or catering arrangement

Complete your group visit with a private tour through the gardens or the castle. An experienced guide shares unique anecdotes about the extravagant life of the Van Zuylen van Nijevelt family. Ask all your questions and learn even more about this special place and history. Before or after the tour, you can take your time to see for yourself .the gardens and /or the castle explore .
A private tour:
- Lasts 60 minutes
- Starts at 09:30 or 15:30 at the castle (garden tours during the day possible)
- For groups of 10 to 20 people per guide;additional guides possible for larger groups (maximum 3 guides /60 people)
- Can be booked based on availability
Children welcome
Are children coming along? Castle de Haar has several walking routesan d treasure hunts in the gardens and the castle, especially for children. So families can also discover the castle with the interactive family tourNoet Noet and the secret castle party. Playfully they discover the story of Castle de Haar. Also in our restaurants we take younger visitors into account!
Catering possibilities
A day out is not complete without a tasty snack and drink. We have various culinary options for every type of group. Starting with delicious coffee and cake or finishing off with a drink and appetizers? These arrangements are already possible from €9.50 p.p. Or do you opt for a high tea? or lunch arrangement ? For this we welcome you in Restaurant Laverie, located at the atmospheric Stalplein.

For your group we are happy to make a customized offer. Here we look at the group size and any additional requirements, such as a private tour or catering package.
- For groups up to 20 people the regular entrance fees apply.
- Garden visit:Groups of 21 persons or more receive a 20% discount on the regular entrance fee during high season (1 April - 30 October).This discount is not valid in combination with other promotions or discounts .
- Castle visit: Groups of 21 or more receive a 20% discount on the regular entrance fee in combination with a private guided tour or culinarypackage.This discount is not valid in combination with other promotions or discounts.
- Tour: A private guide costs €85.00 per guide (for 10 to 20 people), maximum 3 guides. This does not include theentrance tickets.

Are you coming with less than 10 persons? Then a reservation is not necessary. You canherepurchase your tickets for the castle or garden visit. During your visit you are welcome in one of our catering facilities for a snack and a drink. Would you like to book a private tour? Then please contact us in advance.
Are you coming with 10 persons or more? Then we will be happy to make a reservation and a custom quote for you. Here we look at the group size, your wishes and possible private tour.
