Castle de Haar is happy to assist in the proper handling of the name statement:
- Castle de Haar | K, H always in capitals, the always with lower case
This refers to Kasteel de Haar in its entirety with accompanying castle gardens, the official name is Kasteel de Haar and not De Haar.
- Gardens of Castle de Haar | K, H always in capitals, the always with lower case, gardens need not be capitalized
This refers to the entire 55 acres of park and garden area surrounding Kasteel de Haar. The abbreviated version is 'castle gardens' or (when repeated) 'gardens'.
- De Haar | D and H always in capitals
Only use this term when talking about the historical estate De Haar, so this is not a synonym of Kasteel de Haar and concerns more than the castle and its landscaped park and gardens.
- The Haar Castle | D, H and C always in capitals
- Haarzuilens | The name of the village, not the castle
- Baron van Zuylen van Nijevelt van de Haar | Z, N and H always in capitals
- Baron Etienne | Capital E, without dots on the second e. This is a French name and therefore cannot be mispronounced.
- Baroness Hélène | Capital H and with an accent aigu on the first e and one with grave on the second e.
