Celebrate fall break at De Haar Castle

Take the kids to Kasteel de Haar this fall break. Stroll past the colorful trees and stately avenues, explore the Maze, and let the kids play in the castle gardens. There’s plenty to discover inside, too: behind the castle walls, stories, secret plans, and scavenger hunts await the whole family.

An Autumn Break Full of Mischief

Come this fall break Join Noet Noet, the mischievous, talking castle cat of De Haar Castle, on an adventure. Follow secret paths, listen for hidden messages, and help the castle kids prepare for their secret party, high up on the hidden top floor. But be careful not to let the nanny catch you!

Give Noet Noet a pat on the head, and she’ll show you the way past secret doors and hidden spots. A family adventure full of stories, imagination, and discoveries, for children ages 6 and up.

Explore, play, and discover together

Prefer to explore on your own? With the scavenger hunt “Visiting the Baron and Baroness,” children discover the castle as guests of the noble family: complete the challenges and discover your own noble name. For younger children, there’s a simpler version of the scavenger hunt.

Help is needed outside, too: the baron’s animals have escaped! Join the “Find the Escaped Animals” scavenger hunt and search for their hiding spots amid the fall colors.

After the scavenger hunt, the adventure continues: work together to find your way through the maze, have fun on the playground equipment, and watch the deer at the deer enclosure. End your day with hot chocolate or another treat at the restaurant.

Visitor information

During fall break, from October 10 through 25, the castle will open an hour earlier: you’re welcome to visit from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The gardens are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

All activities are included with your admission ticket. For Noet Noet, advance online reservations are required; be sure to book early, as space is limited. You don’t need to reserve the scavenger hunts separately: pick up the castle scavenger hunt at the castle shop and the garden scavenger hunt at the entrance building.
